Below are the essential visa guidelines to assist with your travel preparations and ensure a hassle-free entry into Malaysia.



VISA REQUIREMENTS OVERVIEW

Visa Types Available
E-Visa/Visa on Arrival: Available for most visitors/attendees, depending on their nationality. Check with the Malaysian government's official visa portal for your specific eligibility. Apply for Tourist Visa. There is no Conference Visa.

General Stay Duration
Visas typically allow a stay from 30 to 90 days.

Special Health Regulations
Attendees from certain countries may be required to present a Yellow Fever Certificate. This applies to those coming from regions with health advisories.

Essential Visa Application Details
  • Eligibility is open to applicants outside Malaysia, with exceptions for nationals from Israel and North Korea.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

E-Visa

  • Passport-sized photograph.
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages. 
  • A confirmed return flight ticket. 
  • Proof of accommodation in Malaysia.
  • For minors, a birth certificate may be required. 
  • Sufficient funds (minimum USD 400 or equivalent)/Credit Cards.

Application Process for an E-Visa

  • The application process is designed to be user-friendly, ensuring you receive your visa promptly.
  • Visit the Malaysian E-Visa Application Portal. Click here.
  • To apply for a Tourist Visa, you need to upload a photograph and pay online.
  • The total fee, including maintenance and service fees, ranges from USD 30 to USD 35.
  • After submitting your application, you can expect to receive your visa via email within 3 to 4 days.
  • Once you receive it, make sure to print it and bring it with you for airline check-in and entry into Malaysia.
  • E-Visa is normally valid for 3 months and allowed to stay in Malaysia for 30 days. Advised to apply after 15 August 2024 and before 30 September 2024.
Visa On Arrival (VOA) Procedure

  • Please check your eligibility for Visa on Arrival (VOA) with the Malaysian Government’s Immigration Portal.
  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages.
  • A confirmed return flight ticket.
  • Proof of accommodation in Malaysia.
  • For minors, a birth certificate may be required.
