Conference Registration Fees

Below are the conference registration categories for individuals residing in Malaysia. All LAWASIA member registration categories are available only to individual LAWASIA members for the 2024-2025 financial year. Non-members may join or renew their LAWASIA membership prior to registering for the conference, to avail of discounted member rates. Please see: LAWASIA Membership.

LAWASIA Membership Offer for Members of the Malaysian Bar

LAWASIA is pleased to extend its membership offer to members of the Malaysian Bar choosing to join as a new member of LAWASIA (for the 2024-2025 membership year), offering a 35% discount on membership fees. The discounted 1-year Category B Membership fee would be AUD$62.40 (down from AUD$96) and the discounted 3-year Category B Membership fee would be AUD$175 (down from AUD$264). Speakers & Moderators

This fee is only valid for confirmed conference Speakers and Moderators who reside in Malaysia.

Early Bird:

Registration fee is applicable until Saturday, 31 August 2024 only. 

*Young Lawyer:

Legal practitioners (including barristers) in their first five years of practice or 35 years of age or under as at the date of the conference, or recent law graduates with a current LAWASIA Membership. 

Accompanying Guest:

Fee: AUD 100

An accompanying guest is an individual (non-legal profession) accompanying a delegate to the event social functions only. Accompanying tickets are not for individuals who would otherwise need to pay for a full registration. The registration fee for an accompanying person includes the cost of attending the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception (Sunday, 13 October). Please note, the Accompanying Guest is not permitted to attend working sessions and the fee does NOT include attendance at the general delegate lunches provided for registered conference attendees.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Conference Registration Includes:

  • Access to all conference sessions. 
  • Conference materials, including any available speakers' papers.
  • Opening Ceremony on Sunday, 13 October 2024.
  • Welcome Reception on Sunday, 13 October 2024.
  • Lunch on Monday, 14 & Tuesday, 15 October 2024.
  • Tea & coffee and light refreshments during session breaks.
  • Closing Ceremony on Tuesday, 15 October 2024.

Accommodation, flights, visas and social activities are not included in the registration fee.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
Members of the Malaysian Bar will be eligible to claim 16 CPD points for attending the 37th LAWASIA Conference.

Language:
All working sessions and conference materials will be provided in English.

Delegate List:
In order for your name, position, organisation and jurisdiction to appear on the delegate list, which will be distributed to delegates, your registration form must be received no later than Friday, 4 October 2024.
